IMPORTANT! READ BEFORE ORDERING THIS STEEL CORE BELT.
This is the 1.25" width model. For the 1.5" width click here This is an extreme belt. It is .37" thick and very stiff. It is 20 oz. weight and has an internal steel core insert resulting in the strongest belt you will ever strap around your waist.
This steel core belt does require some break-in when buckling due to the thickness. When new it will require some effort to buckle and place through the keeper. This will break in after a few weeks and not be an issue.
If you want a super sturdy belt that is super strong and durable but doesn't require a break-in period (and you don't mind if the inner layer isn't steel), we recommend that you take a look at our Extreme Belt. It is .23 to .26" thick and extremely durable. You can see it here: HANKS EXTREME BELT So, if you feel you are still in need of the ultimate steel core belt read on:
Hanks CCW Steel Core Gun belt is like nothing else on the market. If you're the type of person who simply likes to buy the best and never have to look back this is the belt for you. Now available here in a slightly narrower 1 1/4" width! The only 1 1/4" width Steel Core belt on the market that we know of!
A tri-layer belt made of two layers of USA steer hide harness leather with a steel core sandwiched in the middle this belt will hold more than you could ever carry. At 20 oz. we believe this is the thickest and strongest belt on the market today. As a test, we actually parked a Jeep on it and it did not give way.
Made right here in the USA by master belt makers this isn't an easy belt to make. It's thick, springy, and is a beast to assemble but well worth the effort. Once on though it is as comfortable as can be and you won't even notice it other than your gear will be more secure than ever!
To make sure nothing is left to chance we use our super rugged roller buckle. It makes tightening this belt down a breeze and reduces wear on the tongue as you put your belt on and off. The Chicago screw construction holds it all together and makes changing your buckle easy if you ever want to. Screws are the way to go as snaps eventually wear out and are not user fixable.
Harness leather is some of the toughest leather out there. Some companies use a softer leather to make the belt easier to assemble but those leathers may start to wrinkle over time and break down. Just one layer of our 10oz leather is miles ahead of any department store belt. Imagine two of them combined with that steel in between. You have to experience this belt to appreciate it!
